Dear Friends, (+CR Girls Video.)
October 2, 2008I wanted to take a moment to write about the word “friendship.” People often associate the word with a cliche image of happy-go-lucky people enjoying life together. That definitely has something to do with the idea, but there’s more. If you look closely at a relationship, you’ll notice the intricate bond that two people share. Sometimes it’s strong and deep, and other times it dangles on a thread. Regardless, there’s a bond, and it ties people together.
Friendship is defined as “the mutual trust and support” between two sides; the “give” AND “take.” If you called me “friend,” you can expect that I shall be there to laugh, cry, and get along with you, and accept you as you are. At the end of each day, we’d be closer than the night before.
Sometimes friends come and go in our lives, but you’ll find that true friends stick by you like family. And just as steel sharpens steel, one friend sharpens another. It’s important to develop healthy and lasting friendships at our age, so we have a more solid support system to encourage us in our later years. Sure, there will be bitter moments, but if you work it out, your friendships will grow even stronger. Personally, I don’t know where I’d be if I gave up on my amazing friends. And when you feel like no one is there for you, know that everyone who wants or needs a friend will have one.
I could easily create a novel out of this concept, but my blog doesn’t provide enough space. So, until next time, my friend.

I’ve been going through a tough time lately, and you writing this has really uplifted my spirits. I just have one thing to add, the best friend we can have is our Lord and Savior, it’ll be hard to find a friend who will do what Jesus Christ did for us. And I’ve said it before, you are the nicest person I “know” in this world, stay the way you are, you’ve helped me through some tough times, you have no idea. Thank you so much.

Hey Alyson! I agree with every word you wrote. If I didn’t have my friends, I wouldn’t be happy at all, and my life would be miserable.
You don’t really realize what your friends mean to you until you almost lose them. last year my 15-year-long-best-friend and I started to drift apart and not get along as well. I was seriously upset everyday when I came home from school and was just miserable all the time. This past summer we looked past all that drama and we’re closer than ever now. But I noticed that once we started hanging out again, I was a lot happier. I’ll never take a friend for granted.
You certainly have (another) talent for writing. You SHOULD write a novel some day. I’d read it

i am not much of a sentimental guy. But I do understand what it means to have a true friend. In the place where I live, things are so competitive. Competitive in very much academic terms. I don’t get to share things with my friends because they are not the “true” friend type that you described. Just happy people who like to have fun. Almost forgot, I wanted to comment on your last speech: You are absolutely right about ‘friendship, it must be a bond that should last a long time, for life. for me it was very difficult to make new friends, I was not highly regarded by the other boys but over the years I have found someone who accepted me for what I am, this is the true friendship. Okay- i agree with anushka that alyson seems like a pretty nice person and she’s sickkk good dancer, but she is NOT a good actress. anyway, that’s besides the point.
i think ginger is right. alyson tries to be so mature. even in her interviews she talks about how mature and inspiring the jonas brothers are and how they’re so professional. she’s trying to be smart and have a good answer, but it doesn’t work. she’s a kid and maybe she’d be a little more appreciated if she just acted like a one.
alyson has nothing to show off academically, so she should stop trying. it really weakens people’s image of her. it’s like when you’re playing tennis and you go for a fancy shot and miss- she missed and now she looks stupid.
