Ocean Grove in 2012
Tis the season to stop typing about myself and start using my hands to give.
This website, kickstarter.com, helps people with creative talent/vision get their projects funded so they can share them with the world! My friends and former tour mates, Ocean Grove, set a goal of $35,000 to fund the recording, mixing, mastering, etc. of their game-changing, stupefying record! Although I’m on a budget (for real), I am making room and pledging what I can this very moment. In my eyes, it’s a great seed sown, helping four guys achieve their dream! I’m wondering if you would be willing to help me help them? It takes <5 minutes.

Back to the Writing Sarcophagus
I don’t need space. I need silence and retreat. Inspiration hits me when there is no visual or audible distraction. For this reason, I tend to write music in very small rooms.
My friend, Brian (@BrianWertheim), laid down an acoustic pass of chords yesterday. I immediately had a melody for the verse and chorus, but I knew the words wouldn’t come until I entered the writing sarcophagus.
So, today I spent an hour in there. And I’m excited to say that the verse and chorus are penned.
I cannot wait to share this song with you. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever written. In the meantime, you can check out my journey as an artist. My EP “Beat The System” is on iTunes now! CLICK HERE!
